We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; your performance was brilliant. The whole evening was a joy! I should also add that the lady reading the poems was really good. She had a lovely voice and she chose some good material. The whole combination of music and poetry was wonderful. I hope they will ask your group back. I certainly will be coming then! Marijke Nibloe, Offton Church Feb 2007

"Thank you, Nightingales, very much for a splendid "round the world trip" last Saturday! It was a wonderful programme.

I know I speak for many. All of you did so well and there was such a happy atmosphere. From my seat I could see the audience sway their heads and heard them hum softly along, and indeed applaud! You had them in the palm of your hands. Kate, your poems were well chosen, and beautifully declaimed. We could hear a pin drop!

The following I overheard:

  • What excellent musicians.

  • Smooth blend of instruments, very fetching.

  • Again, a varied programme with poetry thrown in as well, wonderful!

  • I had a truly terrible day, tonight made me forget all.

  • Some evenings are perfect, this MMM evening even more so. Well done, everyone.

The audience clearly liked you, and so did we. What can I add? Perhaps with reference to the last remark, that I hope we will have another opportunity to enjoy your delightful music in the candlelit setting of Offton Church.

Due to your generosity the concert raised £660 for Offton & Willisham Village Hall as well as £150 for the fabric of the church. Ten out of ten for your efforts!

Wishing the Nightingale Quintet many future engagements and much success" - a letter from the organiser of the Offton Concert Series.

Many, many thanks for such a wonderful evening. All comments were good and we definitely want you to come back in the future. Jean Potter, Christ Church, Tacket Street, Ipswich,
